Favorite Quote:
&ldquo;Llonio said life was a net for luck; to Hevydd the Smith life was a forge; and to Dwyvach the Weaver-Woman a loom. They spoke truly, for it is all of these. But you,&#039; Taran said, his eyes meeting the potter&#039;s, &#039;you have shown me life is one thing more. It is clay to be shaped, as raw clay on a potter&#039;s wheel.&rdquo; <br /> ― Lloyd Alexander, Taran Wanderer

You know I cannot tell you why
These thoughts won't leave my head
I'm cast adrift in a sea of doubt
And you're my only thread

You always leave me wondering
What I did to earn me you
Maybe I'm better than I think I am
But that likely isn't true

I'm sitting sunburned on my boat
A hundred miles from shore
And you're an island tied to me
By a string, and not much more

So I've been blind and wandering
I'm handless in the dark.
I'm trying to open my eyes to see
How you have left your mark

I'm starting now to understand
How much you mean to me
I'm looking deep beneath the waves
That drive my raging sea

Keep me now beside your heart
And grant me small accord
My lonely boat will steady then
And you can climb aboard.

I was going for a swaying, rhythmic feel to this poem to make it feel like waves on a boat,
