Love Poem
Two hands
His and hers on a Saturday night
life’s alright
They’ll hear music of the band
Tiny little town
A little bit broken
Words spoken
Crickets break the almost silent sounds
Go far
Atoms fused and combined
Keep them alive
As the last sound comes from their rusty old car
Fierce din
sounding their souls
Strong and bold
Together they will survive and win
One, two, three
The boy and girl won’t change at all
Eyes saw
Two children dancing, that’s what they’ll always be.
Remember them
Forever in sight
Starry nights
Somewhere, it’ll always be four am.
Home and away
Crying for 10 years past
For long last
The sound of the band couldn’t stay.

Given the prompt to write a love poem without using the word love, this is what I came up with.
