Idiocy.
Why do I feel this way?
My heart wants to let it out,
There's so much to say,
But my throat seems to suffer a serious drought.
I wish there was an easy way to say this,
A way to determine how I feel,
My common sense is thrown into the abyss,
I'm engulfed in a feeling so surreal.
Perhaps this is what all those songs are about,
What all those melodies try to explain:
To throw this strange reality out,
Let fear and caution go down the drain.
I see them hold hands,
Does she dare let go?
Who knows what lies in love's plans:
Could it all be a show?
These questions spring,
It's all I can think about.
I wonder what this love will bring,
Truth being: there's only one way to find out.
They'll tell you love is senseless,
That love is cruel,
That the minute you give in your heart is defenseless,
You will be considered an absolute fool.
Regardless, I take his hand,
Who cares if others can't comprehend?
Because together we'll always stand:
Idiots in love, till the very end.
