Dear Blanket,
A long day may cause a soul weary,
But sight of you makes me so cheery.
You are soft and comforting like a lullaby.
Enveloped in you, I breathe a heavy sigh.
My mind clears of all thoughts good and bad,
Even the worst nightmares I have ever had.
When dreams of fright make me cringe so tight,
You hug me warm like we just reunite.
Loss of you would strike me with chills
And loneliness in the dark that kills.
Much thanks to you for shielding me from fright
And keeping me alive throughout the night.
