Love Song
A kind of a promise
A sort of a start
The brown-eyed boy
With a broken heart
A small, sad girl
Alone and shy
Unsure of most things
But yearning to fly
He offered his hand
To show her the way
The radiance of his smile
Turned her night into day
And so they walked together
Down the path of life
And the good times they shared
Blocked out all the strife
Her hand in his
And his hand in hers
Together they shine
New happiness stirs
More than a promise
More than a start
She fell for the brown-eyed boy
And helped mend his heart
Together so much more
Than each alone
Their love for each other
Has only grown
An unspoken promise
An unbreakable vow
They are always smiling
Cause they're together now
It was more than a promise
She knew from the start
Cause when he looked into her eyes...
He captured her heart
