The thought of you makes my heart twist
My terrible thoughts take over and I cannot get past the pain on my list
Every time I think, my heart is torn in two
I am filled with anger, resentment, memories, longing and love for you.
For you never broke my heart, my mind did it to me
My mind told me you never cared
That you couldn't possibly love someone this impaired.
My heart warms when I live in the past of you and I
But my heart breaks when I remember that I was the one who said goodbye
