Winter Wonderland
Once again, the holidays are near;
When people give gifts with reason.
Snow will fall, malls open late;
It’s starting to feel like christmas season.
Inch by inch the fluffy white flakes of snow increase;
The aroma scents the house while christmas cookies bake.
Outdoors the children place the carrot in frosty’s nose;
It’s the best time of year, for goodness sake.
Christmas morning, all the little feet scamper down the stairs;
Waking the entire house at 5am, no one really cares.
Kids rip open their presents, completely messing up the floor;
Little Charlie stands and screams, “Are there any more?”.
Mom declares loudly, “Santa left enough!”
Where in the world, do you plan to put all this stuff?
The children sit around, admiring their favorite toy;
Remembering this blessed day, filled with so much joy.
