Why can we talk about gangs and violence,
But other things are simply silenced?
Why do we complain about how we’re so cold,
When some don’t even have shoes to warm their toes?
Why is it that we must fight for peace?
I don’t understand how the world can be so mean.
Why does everyone follow the crowd?
When they should just be themselves, and be proud.
Why is it no one bothers to speak up?
When all it takes for change is one.
