Act I: Three Terrifying Witches and A King’s Tragedy

Scene 1
Three witches wondered,
Three witches pondered,
For when shall the three meet again?
When the battle with Macdonwald has come to an end.
When the battle is lost,
When the battle is won,
Then the three shall be met with Macbeth.

Scene 2
One by one,
the king and his men march right in,
the wounded captain catches their ears.
He faintly tells so dear,
The battle's been won by the noble ones,
Banquo, but mostly Macbeth.

Scene 3
Just as the three witches planned,
They would now stand,
Together at last.
The battle’s been lost,
The battle’s been won,
He shall be the one.
A drum,
A drum,
Now they shall meet with Macbeth.
As the storms attack,
The witches act as friends to the dearest Macbeth,
Convincing him he shall soon be king.
They also plant evil seed,
Causing him to believe,
Macbeth shall be the cause of a death.
For the king must be put to rest,
In order for Macbeth to rule,
And have happiness.

Scene 4
What the witches say must be true,
For Macbeth shall lead and rule,
But how can this be when Duncan’s son shall succeed as king?
Macbeth is ashamed,
He must get his way,
He must put king Duncan to rest.
Macbeth knows it’s bad,
He shall feel sad,
But in the end have complete happiness.
King Duncan and his seekers plan to dine with Macbeth,
Macbeth seems fine but leaves the men fast.

Scene 5
Macbeth’s spouse has called to the witches,
For she worries that Macbeth carries a weak heart,
She believes he won’t kill the king.
She calls for the witches,
They will give her the wishes she desires,
She will have a cruel heart.
She shall convince Macbeth,
He shall bring death to the king in order to show his love,
That is if he chooses not to commit the crime.

Scene 6
King Duncan and his men arrive,
They are welcomed into the home of Macbeth,
Little do they all know the secret he shall keep on the low.
He shall kill the king,
After all the king must be put to rest,
In order for Macbeth to rule and have happiness.

Scene 7
Luckily Lady Macbeth called the witches,
Luckily she got her wishes,
Little does she know she was right.
Poor Macbeth’s heart is weak,
His mine starts to leak,
His thoughts of the crime lead to no good.
But she pokes and she pries,
He will never be wise nor a man,
Unless he kills the king.
She offers a plan,
He accepts the demand and now shows he’s tough,
He will now do the job he must do.
After all the king must be put to rest,
In order for Macbeth to rule,
And have happiness.
