Act IV: A King With Too Much Power

Scene 1
One by one,
The witches come,
Macbeth shall meet with the three.
Macbeth has questions,
He demands an explanation,
How must he keep his kingship secure?
With the potion they make,
They will awake the apparitions,
For Macbeth must get an explanation.
There are three apparitions,
They are not so pretty,
But they do give Macbeth what he needs.
One by one,
They tell what shall be done,
He must beware of Macduff.
They also lead on,
No son on earth can defeat Macbeth,
Except Birnam Wood.
Macbeth demands more,
Is banquo’s son no more?
Or is Fleance a threat?
The witches show Macbeth,
He regrets the demand he has asked,
Now he knows the truth.
Banquo might be dead,
but that does not stop his son yet,
One day Macbeth will no longer be king.
Poof!
The witches are gone,
Now comes along Lennox,
For Macduff has fled to England.
Only one act is left,
There will be no hesitation,
Macduff’s family shall suffer greatly.
First it shall be Macduff’s children,
Then it shall be his wife,
For they will all be a sacrifice for his mistake.

Scene 2
Lady Macduff discovers,
Her husband is a traitor,
For he has fled to England.
The messenger rushes for her,
She can’t get out any quicker,
He warns her of the torture to come.
He leaves in a hurry,
before lady macbeth can scurry,
Her son is slashed and gashed.
The murderers have come,
Her and her son are now gone,
Macbeth has once again brought death.

Scene 3
Malcolm has found Macduff,
Malcolm declares macduff must attack Macbeth,
For soon there will be no time left.
Malcolm does not know whether or not to trust Macduff,
Is he a servant of macbeth?
Is Macduff going to lead him to destruction of Scotland?
The trust has been cleared,
Malcolm finds Macduff sincere,
He tells Macduff of his army.
His army contains nearly 10,000 troops,
At first Macduff denies the invasion,
But then he discovers his family is no longer functioning.
He seeks revenge,
For his family is dead,
But this time Macbeth shall be the one dead.
