Beyond The Blue
Sorrow
It fills my heart
I clutch myself and stare at the sky
A bright blue
A blue like calmness and faith
It gives me great comfort for I have nothing
It wasn’t the same
I longed for hope and a time of peace
I miss my home
I miss my family
Hope was lost like the children around me
Past the barbed wire is the land of free
Thy cry as the birds soar high
Closing our eyes and feeling the light breeze
We whisper out loud
We want to be free
