Bird Bones
When I am alone
I cannot bear my bones
I am not home
inside my own soul
I do not know rest
I do not know best
I only know
that I am too bold
I think too fast
I talk too brash
I think too past
my heart is but coal
I know I am loved
I am lifted from above
my bones have grown
I am a bird freed with love
Warmth from my sun
wrapped in her lungs
I know we are one
my bones are but bones
and I have found home.
