Building
You're holding onto something
Something that is so far gone
The wind it swept you off your feet
Played you like a precious pawn.
You held on to that rope
He threw to pull you in
The rope becomes just like a noose
You knew and still you stayed
But now you feel like your loosing your grip
And the rope is frayed.
And with your raw and burned hands
You tried to build a home
But it was always just a house
A house you both lived in alone.
So now you say you've learned your lesson
Well I'm not sure that's true
But the only thing I hope you've learned
Is first you must build a home in you.
