Writing Her Story
Writing Her Story
She doesn't hold her breath now
& with a dead on stare
Her reflection in the water
Beginning to disappear
No one tried to stop her
No one took her hand
So now she's face to face with her reflection
And now nobody can
She never liked that face she wore
But you never looked inside
& though some times she wanted to say something
She held in the silent cries
Didn't you see the warning signs?
Didn't you see the harm?
Love is the movement
Stop the bleeding
But only self-hate was written on her arms.
