pieces of my heart
By the light of the moon
and the sunshine upon the earth
I started to find the pieces of my unforgiving, broken heart
Not in deep oceans or meadows that run across the lands
But in places you will not begin to believe
Deep beneath the grass with the
earthworms crunching on some mud
Running along the cornstalks
swishing in the wind
In the drops of rain that hit my face on the way down
Way up in the sky with the planes are some pieces that I might never retrieve
Most of my heart has come together but the final pieces remain unseen
When my heart has healed and
the cracks are somewhat filled
I hope to see you again then we can be together forever
I may not show it but I love you
completely
And hopefully you do to.
