As you look into the eyes of your student do you see that her heartbreak is fluent?
As you look into the eyes of your best friend do you see that her smile is pretend?
As you look into the eyes of your older cousin do you realize you hold the happiness that she doesn't?
As you look into the eyes of your daughter do you realize her mind is not sitting upon holy water?
As you look into the eyes of the poet do you realize that she is unhappy and in these rhymes is the only place she has the audasity to show it?

Damn girl that's beautiful
I wrote this piece in honor of everyone wearing a fake smile, and wondering if people around them notice. I wrote this in honor of all silent people, who will find a voice in my poetry. Stay positive.
