This Life
I am not placed on the earth to focus on its errors.
I am not here to listen to the rain, to watch it gather in puddles at my feet.
I am here to dance under those grey clouds, and to let my hair get wet.
To embrace what this life has given me, to embrace the fortunes
Of which I've been blessed.
I am placed on this earth to spread love as far as mountains wide.
To let the snowflakes melt on my lashes.
To embrace, enjoy, and accept.
To live this life as if every day, every moment, every glance and whisper,
Could go at any second.
Because it can.
To realize the warmth of a hand, the strength of standing up for what you believe in,
And the power of a smile.
