Poetry of a dead man
Clear thoughts,
Of a wise man telling
Never to pour my soul
I forgot, my first love came
And never returned
She left me boiling
Like water lying on a stove
Seen her with another man
I stitched my eyes closed
The pain felt great, compared to her
Taking my lone soul'giving it to a person
That I didn't even know
I am blind
Because inside and outside
Darkness raised' pain, suffering, hurt, damaged
Is what my mind described
While gun wounds to the heart
Is what my body felt like
Wish I could be a
Strong black man
Like my mama was telling me
But'
I couldn't now
Neither heart nor soul
Im a useless cloud
Feelings I have are water vapor
So much build up, the heavens couldn't take it
God said it would never be another flood
But the way I felt' when I was done
You could only see the stars above
40 days and 40 nights,
My feelings blew'
Away like a hurricane category 2'
Until nothing was left
But myself'
A mere shadow in the mist
Of death'with no soul
My whole body will be put to rest
