In Her Shadow
In one seething black mass,
a horrid thing not yet to pass,
it hangs overhead
hurting with things not said.
It follows me around.
Unwillingly I am bound.
I try in vain to pull away,
the more I resist, the longer it stays.
She is a cousin, family,
but its her they see, not me.
