The Atlantis of Memories
I feel as though I never knew you,
As if our lips never touched,
Nor fingers never laced,
Familiar Strangers,
It’s hard to remember your smile,
I see pictures, they must be photo shopped,
That couldn’t have been us,
In warm, adoring embrace,
Bodies gripped like a paint brush to water color,
Did I imagine all of this happiness?
You seem to be a collage of mixed up memories,
Curiosity cannot deal with the mystery,
I only know that you are my stranger,
But why are you also my enemy?
