Ode to Heavy Things
Heavy things make us feel weak,
Yet most do nothing about it.
Heavy things are a part of our everyday lives.
They know no bounds.
Heavy things are our daily physical resistance.
Few of us find them absolutely wonderful,
Even making a career from them,
And others completely ignore the fact that they exist.
Heavy things can batter and bruise your body,
Making you ache with every step.
Some days, after lifting too many heavy things,
You wonder if you can even take one step.
But, when you love heavy things with a passion,
You find a way to roll yourself out of bed every single day.
The ringing of that annoying alarm can only mean one thing.
It’s time to do what you love and pick up those very heavy things
