She closed her eyes and saw the Moon,
The Sun, the Earth, and Venus, too.
Everything but life was there,
Even the Earth - completely bare.
The rivers, the oceans, had ceased to move.
Where people stood became their tombs.
City skyscrapers crumbled to dust,
What was once shiny and new turned to rust.

I’d never leave you behind
But it’s still nice to know.
The same question again,
What would you do if I were to go?

This poem is about a girl who is posed the question "What would you do if I were to go?" by someone significant in her life. Although she does not verbally respond, the visions in her head provide an answer.
