Sometimes I wonder
Sometimes I wonder
Why we dread the future and our past
Sometimes I wonder
How many feel worthy of making their life last
With so many souls searching for solace
Sometimes I wonder
How can we rid ourselves of the past
Every night I hear the distressed
Pleaing
Weeping
Shrieking
For their fear of tomorrow is already today
And today will reap the tears from yesterday
Their mind screams for help, their mouths motionless
Their tongue is locked yet no one notices
Standing tall behind a glass wall of emotion
They’re trapped in a box of locomotion
Where life moves too fast
And euphoria doesn’t last
If only something could be done
To help them
Sometimes I wonder
