Inside a Drawer
My family lives inside a junk drawer.
dad is the old flashlight, bright and powerful
But when the energy dies so does the house.
Mom is the white Elmers glue
Which sticks everything together
But fails when bib things come around.
Alex is the Crayola color crayon, colorful and exciting
But fragile when put under pressure.
Eric is the plastic whistle, noisy and obnoxious
But when it stops it's quiet and calm.
