The sea was calm today-

nothing more

than a splish, splash,

as she moved in,

then out,

over the rocky beach.

It was hot today-

nothing less

than unbearable heat,

as her waters cooled,

and soothed,

on the rocky beach.

The tide was low today-

nothing closer

than the seashells,

as the gulls flew,

and swooped,

above the rocky beach.

They were quiet today-

nothing louder

than the occasional squaking,

as the marine life swam,

and dived,

past the rocky beach.

It was peaceful today-

nothing more

than me and the animals,

as her waters lapped,

and rippled,

at, the rocky beach.
