A hummingbirds Muse
The sweet colors of the meadow dance in the smiling sunlight,
Soft hums of the wings dancing through the air.
Sweet nectar explodes like fireworks on their tongues,
The soft rhythm of other birds bouncing around through the trees.
I am a hummingbird.
We dance to the joyous music.
We smile through the trickling tears.
We stand tall, not daring to let anyone see past the vibrate colors.
We hum our songs of joy along with beating our own drums.
We cry with others, laugh with others, and hold other hands.
We listen to the thunder shaking the ground, but we still drink from the flowers knowing it is our job.
