Let's Take A Stroll
Let's take a stroll down memory lane
Let's pretend my memories aren't driving me insane
Pretend my fingertips don't shake to every emotional stain
Pretend that truth is all that I will claim
Step on a sidewalk paved with blood
Rainy day with dreams in the form of mud
Flowing with confident hopes down the gutter
...Also flowing with lies spoken as smoothly as butter
Walk into a diner where I can't taste my food
Where every waiter is simply "not in the mood"
clock reads:temptation"tick",frustration"tock",complication"tick",fornication"tock"
People that I loved that I can't feel
Moments that occured simply aren't real
Walk out to inhale one clean breath
But as I open my mouth my lungs are filled with stress
Heading towards memory lane, around the corner
No lies,no ties,not a single mourner
A sight to see finally prevails
Honest smiles,and hearts without jails
Kisses with truth
People with infinite youth
Watching myself as I laugh in the theatre
Asking myself "So did you see in her?"
Reminiscing is easy in a brain with no soul
The hard part is doing this in the real world, wearing sneakers with no sole
You,me and my conscience,dear Quito let's take a stroll.

My heart is my own but your free to change that...as long as you can take all the hurt and troubles that come with it.
