The not so itsy spider
squeezed up that rusty spout
down came the rain
and washed the spider out
out came the sun
and dried up all the rain
but i bet you didnt know
that spider was still in pain

The sun dried up all the water
but left one final thing
a parasite on that spiders back
and it griped on with a sting

The not so itsy spider
kreept on with its day
as the parasite fead off him
he started to like being prey
for it ment he would get smaller
hed no longer have to squeeze
so he begged that 'site to never go
he cried and moaned "please!"

the sting became a tingle
and that was not so bad
and as soon as the other spiders saw it
the 'site became a fad

Now that very itsy spider
ran up that same old spout
down came the rain
and drown that spider out
out came the sun
and dried up all the rain
but all that lived was the parasite
and it stole the spiders name

For over two and a half years i have been struggeling with bulimia,to say the least. This poem was written as a testiment to myself. A way to permanently capture the process in which my small "fix-all" grew into a mental illness. A mental illness which has ultimatly cunsumed my life. I strongly belive the first step to over coming an obsticle such as this, is to come to realization and terms with it.So what better way to do it then in a play on my favorite nursery rhym.
