My Dream
Class is boring today
Math bores me the most
With the lights off
And the projector running
I fall asleep
I dream
Walking in the door
There he is
He’s sure happy
This is my dream
It’s you, I say
He nods and
I run into his arms
This is my dream
It’s too good to be true,
But he’s here
It’s him
This is my dream
Why are you here, I ask
Because it’s Christmas, he says,
And I want to spend it with you
This is my dream
Come with me, he says
He takes my hand
I tremble
This is my dream
We walk outside
Into the beautiful snow
He’s still holding my hand
This is my dream
I’m cold, I say,
And he holds me close
This is how it should be
This is my dream
