Mary’s Lamb and the Beast MAG
Mary’s lamb was black as coal
His eyes half blind with hate
And everywhere that Mary went
Her lamb would lie and wait
And when they were all alone
He’d whisper sweetly in her ear
And filled her pretty little head
With lies that grew in fear
Then Mary told just one friend
Who went to tell one more
And in this way the lie was spread
From door to neighbor’s door
Soon the lie raged all around
A beast no one could tame
And no one knew that secretly
Mary’s lamb was to blame.

This is really reminiscent of a fairy-tale; or a folkloric piece that incorporates: modern elements into an ancient tale. It is really a tale of your own: so congratulations on your originality and engaging narrative.

i like it a lot!! it reminds me of those people with the innocent faces but the twisted hearts... sort of like a twist on a fairy-tale:)

it's dark but not in a grungy or mornful way, but im intrested if it's about a batrayal of a freind or self

I like the hidden references and the personal experience that shines through. I can appreciate this because I've always been a morbid person.

This is totally fantabulous!!! Also my name is Mary, and people sing Mary Had A Little Lamb to me all the time, which is annoying, but I digress. I really love the twist to this, and it's just really quite cool :) Keep writing!!
