Always Pain
It’s like the monster in the closet,
Waiting to attack,
It comes when you’re most vulnerable,
Least able to fight back.
It is always there,
It never leaves,
Want it to go away,
Just this one thing please.
It keeps you from sleep,
From fun and from play,
Holds you back,
Seems to ruin day after day.
Changes how you feel,
Changes how you behave,
Leaves you thinking, why me,
One hour without it is what you crave.
