newspaper
my exsistance resembled a newspaper
drenched in inks of black and white
you showed me a life in colour
proved the world can look good bright
each kiss brought forth new inspiration
i sat high on the queens throne
my face rocked a glorious grin
i no longer felt alone
Never knew that a feeling like this could transform
a story with chapters and endnotes that thrived
a feeling that made my heart beat overtime
left me with a dose of emotions deprived.
the memories cherished began to perish
the shared smiles began to sink
sometimes the truth can be hard to swallow
but i find it hard to simply think
the same old story, as the days go by
your mouth fills up with the words i wont say
can think of nothing to do but try to outrun
for our love has become an outdated cliche
my life returns to its old ways
couldnt breathe round all that vapour
the colour drains out of my life
guess im back to the newspaper
