A Child's Heart

A lonely child
Made a friend of snow,
To live on for her
As her time grew low
Someone to share
Her joys in life,
To share in her sorrow
At nature's strife
To have one sick child
Carry such love,
For such a cruel world
And it's heavens above,
It was on those dreams
That the friend was formed,
And with her hopes
It's cold heart warmed
When the child's time had passed,
Her friend lived on,
Carrying her wish,
And sharing this song
