Hide and Seek
Hide and seek with my heart,
A twisted game you play
And now that it’s done
There’s nothing you can say
Disguises are hidden
In lies told all too well
Everything you pretend to be
Reoccurring within myself
Forever is only
A heartbeat away
The love that I needed
Is lost in a darkened day
To go back is insanity
Still caring is wrong
But love you I have
Done for so long
Still holding on
Only destroys me
I think maybe it’s time
For me to see
I can’t stay this way forever
Still desperate and hurt
Hanging by a thread
Remembering your words
So it’s time I let go
I can’t care anymore
Thanks for helping me see
What did I need you for?
