Just Like Us
The first time I saw your face,
It was crystal clear.
You were perfect,
But something happened.
We just sort of,
Drifted apart.
Then you gave me roses.
Pink roses at my doorstep.
I put them in my favorite vase,
But it doesn't do any good.
Any good if you want to jump back.
Day after day,
The pink rose petals fall.
Just like us,
We fall apart.
And soon,
They will cripple,
Then die.
Just like us.
