Say, have you heard the news
About the young girl who was singing the blues
The girl is dead
By the madness inside her head
She could take it no more
Apparently she had no cause to live for
Now her friends must take a good look at who they are
To see why the young girl said au revoir
But she did not leave with out saying her goodbyes
Unfortunately nobody could hear her cries
She wrote a suicide letter
So that her loved ones may feel better
The letter said her heart could not bare another brake
And she feared she would make yet another mistake
Her friends turned on each other with assault
For fear that her death was their entire fault
Her parent really don’t care
In fact they are glad to have her out of their hair
Her best friend doesn’t understand
Why she would leave her hear without a strand
But nobody feels worse than the boys who broke her heart
They keep wishing for a new start
Say, have you heard the news
About the young girl who was singing the blues
