A Mask
Her smile
her face,
all the while
she fakes,
a mask.
Her pep
her style,
good rep
but, child,
it’s just a mask.
Sadness
fear,
madness
in the atmosphere
escapes her mask.
She’ll have to show
eventually,
what she knows
credentially,
she takes off her mask.
They’ll be surprised
never see it coming,
she’ll realize
what she’s being,
is just a mask.
