Sailing
They said I was in my prime,
You’re ship had already sailed
I was still trying to build mine
Holding hope that I wouldn’t fail
Lately I’ve felt lost at sea
Water rushing all around me
I know you’d be what I need
I realize now where I should be
When I see a lighthouse
I think you’re coming again
Then my world falls to night
And I only hear what you said
Once I begged you to let go
The waves swept us away
Drops of rain swirled to snow
In that place I'll always stay
To your ocean I'm always bound
Though there's nothing to chase
Wind whispers slow soft sounds
Telling me you know your place
