I'm a Stranger to Myself
I know I have a name,
A face,
And a voice.
I know I have a heart,
A love,
And a song.
I know I have two eyes,
A vision,
And a dream.
I know I have a past,
A present,
And a future.
I know I’m someone,
Anyone,
And no one.
But the harder I try,
The more I’m warped into fairytale,
A fable,
Nothing more than I lie.
I look inside,
Really, I do.
I try,
And I try,
And I try.
But, I just can’t seem to find who.
Who am I?
The sky?
No
The sea?
No.
The stars?
No.
Me?
Possibly.
