It Used To Be Love
You said that I never mattered,
I heard and my heart shattered,
I knew you were just lying,
But that didn't stop me from crying.
I remember how it used to be,
It was always us, just you and me,
We would hang out all the time,
Our love was almost the perfect crime.
We would laugh and never cry,
Why did you tell me goodbye?
I remember your amazing smile,
We were in love there is no denial.
You admitted that you loved me,
When we were alone it was easy to see,
I knew you meant it by the look in your eye,
Even though people said you were very sly.
I remember once when you grabbed my hand,
It felt like we had took our stand,
We used to hug and it felt amazing,
You were a flame to my heart that kept blazing.
People told me they wanted what we had,
That made me proud and so very glad,
I always loved talking to you,
Whenever we were together my smile grew.
You told me I was beautiful and funny,
While we were a couple my heart was sunny,
You made me laugh so hard,
You made me feel like a retard.
The way my smile was so cheesy,
The way falling for you was so easy,
I remember when you would walk me to class,
You didn't notice any pretty girl that would pass.
I remember when it used to be love,
Then it turned into push comes to shove,
So you and me broke apart,
You let me go and broke my heart.
