The Life that Dies Away
I've been lost and then found
I've had my smile flipped around
I've been befriended then forgotten
I've had a love that just went rotten
I've been kept and then abandoned
I've been enlightened and then blackened
I've had friends that turned around
I've taken steps, but reached the ground
I've been hurt and hurt again
Always trying to find a friend
But as my story plays again
I'm sure I'll finally reach the end
Then I can leave all this pain
And watch it all flow away
And in the depths of the dark
Die away without a spark
