Lucky Girl
I have this good friend of mine
He tells me about this girl
How her hair has the perfect shine
With an ever so slightest curl
He tells me how her voice
Is his heart’s melody
And how her beautiful blue eyes
Remind him of the sea
I listen to his stories
About his every moment with her
He talks about how wonderfully they match
How perfect they are, how perfect they were
I take in all the thoughts
That he expresses to me about this girl
How she means everything to him
How she’s his entire world
I smile at every word he speaks
So he can’t see through me
I nod my head but can only think
What a lucky girl is she.
