A Cherry in a Tree

Crimson and bright,
sweet and light,
Enchanting and free,
was that cherry in a tree.
Branches and leaves,
resting on eaves,
Swaying gentle, and big
was that cherry on a twig.
Prominent and gleaming,
I must be dreaming,
With sky pale and dim,
swung that cherry on a limb.
Midway up, dangling low,
at the crest of a bough,
Enchanting and free,
was that cherry in my tree.
