Girl Lost
Lost in thoughts
And at a loss for words,
A girl listens to what she’s heard.
Easily influenced
And pressured to fit in,
The game of life she’ll never win.
A friend who cares
She calls her “best one,”
Little does she know, the “best” is done.
Who is she now?
Who even knows.
She’s pushed the “best” as far as she’ll go.
Ignoring, not caring and
Acting as if she doesn’t matter,
This story can’t get any sadder.
A girl gets lost in society
And also in the teenage world.
Is this still the same girl?
She surrounds herself
With people who aren’t real,
Her identity they will steal.
They don’t care,
They’re just curious.
While the “best” is somewhat furious.
They can say what they want
They can say it all.
That girl. . . is gonna fall.
She’ll be left
She’s gonna cry.
Who’s gonna be by her side?
She’s letting jealousy
Change her ways;
What happened to the good ol’ days?
The girl has realized
She’s lost herself,
But it’s too late. . .there’s no one else left.
