Bitter Circumstance
Blame me for what we have never witnessed
If I let go of this moment I could have missed this
Just waiting for you to tell me, that it's over now
Missing this connection, it hurts to let you go
We were meant to live for so much more
Than anything we have believed in before
I don't want to spend an eternity searching
When I've spent a lifetime preserving
I can't rest without you in my head
No scars emerge yet in my mind I've bled
Don't we deserve another chance
I could steal every loving glance
If I gave you passion, as much as you could steal
Would you feel so alive and keep these feelings real
But no comedy just a tragedy, can you feel the irony
It's like a poison, infecting my sole vitality
I just wish you'd know who I am, an ocean blue serene
Once I knew nothing lasts forever, the depression was just routine
Long ago and recently, become the same every once in awhile
While you watched me suffer I did anything to see you smile
Just another page to rewrite, and burn the decaying in the firelight
I signed my signature on the bottom, my undying disclosure
I never swallowed the bitter truth, it's guess its over when it's over
