Dream Of Winter's White Flames
Shall my heart begin to wither
Voices whisper "My child, come hither"
Born of undying savagery from winter's rage
Yet through trial I am the warlock, ringmaster, and sage
Mint leaves adorn a crescent tree, swaying in cold winds
Under blue light the man smiles, but falls prey to unyielding sin
To his knees he falls, and in silence he cries a silent prayer
"Take the breath that fills my very lungs for this pain is more than I can bear"
No two snowflakes may be alike, but to him she was his only other
Now in revelation to a dream in white flames, could she love another?
Questions lurk beneath white snow, here arrives my final sacrifice
For he spent years igniting the fire, yet her heart has turned to ice
The blade is sheared, blessed with razor sharp crystals of nature's grotesque intention
Yet the verdict is of his own blame, doth he suffer under his own cruel invention?
Amongst his heart is shreds and tears, like the letters he once held dear
No longer will he sleep in tears, just lay beneath blood stained near
A coffin in eternal sleep lay underneath an old oak tree, firm and bold
Once there was warmth between his fingers, now there is only cold
Red lipstick still caresses his cheek, the only memory left in death
Now his spirit may be at ease, his stressful mind may be at rest
Arctic winds slice his face, engraving messages of sorrow on his skin
So he burns the final bridges of his past, and torches the violins
Can you envision a reality where she bore winter's ring?
But the scorpions have left their treacherous mark, forever he will feel the sting
