Cliche
the signs of the lost stopped me in my tracks
and i never stopped to consider if i had learned all your facts
but in my knowing optimism i had no one but you to blame
for the self destructive eternity the night you whispered my name
the signs of the wanderer led me down a path
and the road less traveled took to me to face another lovers wrath
yet in the muddied neutrality that hid my face from day
i found a hint of courage to face te sky and pray
the signs of the weary led me to the gates of choice at last
i took an eager second to consider the choices of the past
and my blinded pessimissim was the one thing that kept me true
as i took another road and flew on borrowed wings..to you
