I jumped out the window,
Thinking I could fly
But my happy thought left me
Soaring high above I.
I was thinking of you; your smile, your laugh
‘Till I remembered you dreaming out of this life into the next
I clapped as hard as I could
But still you danced to the light
Tumbling and twirling, the earth looms near
Memories and wishes flee me,
Knowing that the end is here
I close my eyes to say goodbye
To the earth and the life I once knew
But I’m excited to say hi to you
A smile spreads across my face,
I can already feel your embrace
Then a warm wind lifts me up,
Whispering in my ear
“Whether you are near or far,
Know that I am always here, inside of your heart”
Once again, I am on my own two feet
Having found the strength to believe
The wind in the trees rustles the leaves
I know you are clapping for me.
