The Spirit of the Doe
The spirit of the doe is wind;
A wispy mist here and there,
A brown mirage in the wood;
A thread of smoke in the air.
The spirit of the doe is calm;
A gentle breeze swept o'er the fields,
A ray of sunshine in the forest;
A peaceful heart is what she yields.
A spirit of the doe is wild;
A burst of speed through evergreens,
A graceful leap over streams;
A phantom that is rarely seen.
The spirit of the doe is love;
A tender nudge for newborn fawns,
A soft caress on the head;
A caring love that strengthens bonds.
The spirit of the doe is young;
A curious sprite among the trees,
A bounding beam come from the moon;
A perfect beauty to be seen.
