Come Quickly
Meet me tonight
among the trees.
A cold wind whispers,
willing to please.
I don't understand
this tugging feeling,
like I need you here.
It's rendered me kneeling.
The night's growing darker
as I sit here and rise,
when eyes I see under
catch me by surprise.
I call but no answer,
not one that makes sense.
The eyes, they are glowing.
No barrier, no fence.
I came here to meet you
in Autumn's cool breeze,
but without you there,
they brought me to my knees.
